Update on services for Wednesday 8 December

Further to our post on Monday evening regarding a member of our team who has tested positive for coronavirus, unfortunately we now have received the news that several members of our team are unable to carry out face to face appointments and so we have had to make necessary short term changes to our services.

We will need to change nearly all of the face to face appointments currently scheduled at the surgery for the next week or so to telephone appointments. This is so that we can protect all our patients and staff.

We have some members of the team who are still able to assess patients face to face however, as you will appreciate we will need to keep this availability purely for patients who are most at need of these face to face opportunities. These are likely to be ‘on the day’ cases and not pre-bookable appointments.

If you have a face to face appointment scheduled at the surgery within the next week which we need to change, we will make contact with you. Please bear with us as it is going to take some time to complete these calls but we will reach you as soon as possible if we need to change your appointment.

If you have not heard from us 6 hours before your appointment, your appointment at the surgery will continue.

We very much appreciate that many of our patients will be disappointed that we need to adjust their appointments, however, am sure will understand this is beyond our control.

We have had plans in place should we find ourselves in the situation we are in and we are now following these protocols in order to keep everyone safe. We will keep you updated.
